Overview
A Genetic PCR Solutions® (Spain) kit for collecting, inactivating, transporting and storing environmental samples for subsequent nucleic acid extraction.
Its key feature is a patented buffer that stabilises DNA and RNA at room temperature without a cold chain and inactivates viruses and non-spore-forming bacteria. The buffer is applied to a highly porous cellulose sponge, convenient for swabbing surfaces, animals and objects. The sample becomes non-infectious and safe to ship.
The kit contains: a sponge in a bag with inactivation and preservation buffer, a glove, a blue quality seal and a leak-proof transport bag.
