Detects coronavirus antigens in the faeces of dogs and cats; CCV and FCoV share up to 99% of their DNA structure, so one test works for both species. It distinguishes coronavirus infection from parvovirus infection with similar symptoms (watery diarrhoea). Especially useful in multi-cat settings and for unclear symptoms, for quick identification of the agent.
A confirmatory analysis is recommended after positive results of some tests.
