An immunological test that detects parvovirus and coronavirus antigens in dogs and cats; thanks to 99% DNA overlap, one test works for both species. Used on site, it quickly shows whether the patient has a parvo- or coronavirus infection — important above all for the highly lethal parvovirus (prompt treatment raises the survival chance to 90%). It helps distinguish infections whose symptoms are often similar.
A confirmatory analysis is recommended after positive results of some tests.
