An immunological test that detects parvovirus, coronavirus and Giardia duodenalis antigens in the faeces of dogs and cats. Canine and feline parvoviruses share 99% of their DNA structure (as do the coronaviruses), so one test works for both species. It also detects Giardia — the agent of one of the most common intestinal infections. It quickly and cheaply checks a patient for three agents at once.
A confirmatory analysis is recommended after positive results of some tests.
